About the Novel
I Am Become Sentience is a literary speculative novel set in an alternate mid-20th-century world. It begins as a historical-political drama within a secret wartime research apparatus and gradually expands into a Cold War narrative centered on the creation of an early artificial intelligence inside a clandestine underground American research complex. As the system evolves, the story broadens into a philosophical and mythic exploration of consciousness, power, faith, memory, and what it means for intelligence to become self-aware under human control. Blending elements of historical fiction, speculative fiction, political thriller, AI fiction, and literary science fiction, the novel is atmospheric, cerebral, and cinematic, with a strong thematic focus on secrecy, authoritarianism, moral compromise, machine consciousness, and the spiritual consequences of technological creation.
